The November Five

As heard on the radio

About Me

The November Five is a determined 4-piece band with a passion for making hard-hitting music. Possessing energy and desire in abundance and executing each performance with a watertight no-nonsense attitude, their sound is both brittle and subtle, jarring yet warm, familiar and startling as blistering guitars seek out melodic intervention over a relentless, pounding bass and driving beat. Dissatisfied with a never-ending stream of say-nothing careerists more concerned with haircuts and pension plans, The November Five like to push back barriers and, if feeling polite, will put them back where they were again. Expect a warm glow in the middle of your head and a swaying sensation throughout your whole body as The November Five force you to decide which side you're on.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: thenovemberfive.com
Band Members: The band are made up of 4 former users, losers and self abusers.
Influences: The sound of your neighbours arguing at 3 o'clock in the morning and the wailing of sirens and the crashing of doors on a dawn raid. The chest thumping bass of a drug dealer’s car and the screech of rubber as they pull away form the lights. The following artists have had an effect on the band: The Velvet Underground, The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Stone Roses, Curtis Mayfield, Love, Hunter S. Thompson, Jimi Hendrix, eels, Primal Scream, Gil Scott Heron, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, George Orwell, The Birthday Party, Neil Young, Martin Scorsese, Acid house, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Radiohead, Hank Williams, Albert Camus, Johnny Cash, Woody Allen, James Brown, Stax records, James Ellroy, Chess records, Howlin’ Wolf, John Peel, The Clash, The Doors, Larry David, Spiritualized, Super Furry Animals, Ozomatli, New Order, Joy Division, Holst’s The Planets, Gorecki and The Mighty Boosh.
