Formed in the April 2005 'after four nervous breakdowns and a chance meet at Whitchurch mental hospital', Sicknote quickly rose to local infamy after a performance dressed as grim reapers at Cardiff drinkhole Callaghans, shortly after which they were banned by the pub owners under mysterious circumstances.
Their debut single, a slab of shamanic soapbox dance ranting titled Get On The Bus, was released just a few months after the band's formation.A fantastically ugly racket influenced by The Fall, Captain Beefheart and LCD Soundsystem, yet with a large dose of originality thrown in, Sicknote's funked-up epic electro punk promises decent things for the future..
