About Me

triflesky began in 2000 as a project between sister and brother Choo & Q triflesky (known nowadays as Beverley Gough & Mark Green). Songs were created on Bev's DJX, featuring added electronica, objects, a studio-based extremely hairy loud dog and instruments. Mark mixed and recorded the first album in 2001, 'a taste of triflesky'.
Steve Straight joined in 2002 adding guitar and flute to the lineup. Gav D joined in November 2002, adding bass and extra madness. Gav's appearance during 2003 transformed the triflesky sound from dance to raucous raggapunkphunk. Whilst in this rock/dance fusion period, triflesky had the pleasure of performing at Glastonbury festival in the Avalon Fields area.
Steve moved to Bath at the end of 2003, triflesky rested. Later in 2004, back to the original two piece format, new material was written and duo performances using loops and electronica soon followed, including a wonderful spiegeltent gig at the Dublin Fringe festival. In 2005, the line-up changed to a 3 piece, with Nick Walker on bass. From this period, triflesky's Songs of Zion was aired on the first episode of Rob Da Bank's Radio One show. Matt arrived in 2005, and did his special stuff to big up the triflesound. With this four piece, triflesky played on the Crystal Ship party cruise down the Thames in June 05.
2006 brought Wojtek Krol in on bass, Matt remained on synths and vocal effects. The latter part of 2006 saw triflesky return to a 3 piece, Matt has moved onto bass and all is well in the trifleworld.
triflesky have released five cd's, some are no longer available. Bev is currently working on a cd of the 2003 period, collecting together triflesky studio sessions to create a live cd album under the title 'no disco'. Thanks to Will for the inspiration and idea, by his request for a song called 'roses'.
