:: Music innovation and collaboration in a flat world::
At the core, Studio Monks is two brothers. Each brings a completely different style and music preference to the collaboration. One grew up spinning records, submersed in electronic music and computers. The other grew up playing guitar and writing rock hooks. Originally from Minnesota, they've moved around and now collaborate via internet with other musicians a la The Postal Service. Vocals have always been the brothers' Achilles heel, but they thrive on collaboration -- they're always learning something new. As a result, they're always looking to collaborate with musicians whether you sing, play an instrument or produce.
The songs posted here are the latest set of rock/pop/indie tracks that they are working on. If you're interested in collaborating, send a note and let them know where they can hear some samples or songs of yours. Basic requirements for collaboration:
