About Me

God its hard to describe myself on these things. I'm a nerd, that's one thing I can definately say, I can also say I'm proud of it. I like the things I like because of how they correlate with other interests and come full circle. I have many eclectic interests such as history, gourmet cooking, ancient civilizations, and their cultures, religions, and mythologies. My musical tastes tend to go more for the gothic style, real goth stuff which is hard to come by these days without it being generic, I like old school gothic rock and deathrock mostly but I also like darkwave, synth pop, flexi pop,and some ebm and industrial as well as some horror punk, rockabilly, and psychobilly, preferably the old and more underground stuff. Kind of sad lately though because the whole gothic scene went pretty undustrial for a while with all these cybergoths who don't even understand that their culture wouldn't have existed if not for the older goth culture that it spawned from, but there's a deathrock revival lately, the sad side being half the bands are as generic as the industrial stuff so its hard to find good new stuff, but there is always a little surprise here and there that I live to find.

My Interests

goth rock, death rock, darkwave, neo classical, I'll get more itno that in my music tastes, history, anthropology, mythology, ancient civilizations, some role playing games, good literature, conspircy theories, specially about the New World Order, researching things deeply just for the pleasure of learning, I used to play guitar and would like to start again, cooking gourmet meals but not cleaning up after them, Europe and Europeans, foreign films, independent films, documentaries, esoteric knowlege, beer, wine, french cheeses, computers, etc, they all constantly fight for my attention.

I'd like to meet:

other people who are into real goth music, people who share my intellectual interests such as history, mythologies, politics also to a degree, I prefer conspiracy theorists for that, well, ones who've done their research... Nice people, there have got to be some of them out there, you don't have to be nice to EVERYONE, just be nice to me and I'll be nice to you... people who won't bring me down with their drama, I am just coming out of my own and don't need that. Intelligent people, people who would make good friends, preferably older people with the same interests and similar experiences... And people who would like to get together and do something fun and interesting. No fake goths, no mansonites, no cybergoths, fetish people with a goth side and a brain are also cool to meet, just about anyone who adds positive input and has something interesting to say. I'm not looking to meet people for dating through here, I stated it before, but if someone's intersting enough and starts out as a friend with no expectations, that is not an impossibility. I am more here to network and help spread the word for people who deserve it... Making a few friends out of it is a great benefit. Also I would like to meet people from the old school goth scene in NYC that spawned me, many people I haven't seen for over 10 years that I wonder about all the time. Oh, just because I put down SINGLE does not mean I am LOOKING, got a lot to work on with myself before I can meet anyone for more than friends. I had to straighten that out with someone before so just letting it be clear.

Music:

llNew Day's Dely, The Naked and the Dead, Radio Werewolf, Sleeping Children, Violet Stigmata, Aroma Di Amore, Carillon del Dolore, Madre Del Vizio, Rozz's Christian Death (but everyone likes that), SKeletal Family, Ausgang, Bloody Dead and Sexy, Land of Passion, Ghosting, Mephisto Walz, Sex Gang Children, The Cramps, 45 grave, Penis Flytrap, Coffinshakers, Necromatix, Phantom Vision, Phantom LImbs, Brickbats, there are many oher bands and styles, I'm not going to write a book....

Movies:

I don't watch many, but some I like are Almodovar films, he's a great Spanish director, I also like Roberto Begnini films, like Life is Beautiful, mostly European stuff, I spend very little time with movies though so its not a strong point...

Television:

I don't even own a TV, its bad for the brain I have a TV tuner for my PC if something good is going to come on in the History Channel which is starting to get rare... My advice... Read a book, most Americans don't read and if they do, seldom over a 4th grade level, what could you expect with our president though.... If you don't like how Europeans make fun of us, maybe we should try to see why. Then try to do something to gain world respect. Like educating yourselves and not watching Jerry Springer...

Books:

horror, fairy tales, college textbooks in history and anthropology, conspiracies, mythology, the odd occult book when I'm in that odd mood, anything I can learn something I didn't already know from, some of my faves are Grimm's fairy tales, Tolstoy, Edgar Allan Poe, Lord Byron, many other classics, ancient Sumerian epics, anything interesting really.

Heroes:

Bruna and Ron, my closest friends. May they rest in peace and make their own peace!! Free
