Or getting carried off on a stretcher when you lose the bet?Dragging yourself out of bed for freshies even though your hangover is killing you, or sleeping in with a guilty conscience?The knee-crunching bomb drop, or the photographer missing the shot?Pain is constant in life: like happiness, or death. We all feel it, yet some wrap themselves up in a safe little bubble to protect themselves from it. OTher deliberately inflict it on themselves, just so they can feel something real.Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Pain is a part of love; sometimes they come together to bring the greatest pain of all.The deeper we fall in love, the more we throw ourselves on the mercy of those we love. The more we love snowboarding, the more it hurts when we fall, or fail. But holding back should never be an option, in life or in love.Snowboarding will never hurt you like that. It may beat you, it may freeze you, ant it may bury you in its embrace. It'll spend all your money and leave you broke for sure. But whether we mean physically or mentally, the pain snowboarding brings is the kind of pain that challenges us, and makes us strong. Mentally or physycally, pain is our body telling us to wake the hell up.
