About Me

***(412 BC - 323 BC)***I am Diogenes the Dog/Cynic [The Greek word for dog was "cynic"]. I nuzzle the kind, bark at the greedy and bite scoundrels. I am a citizen of the world. What I like to drink most is wine that belongs to others. Dogs and philosophers do the greatest good and get the fewest rewards. All things belong to the gods, the wise are friends of the gods, and friends hold things in common, therefore all things belong to the wise. Oh, yeah - I am living in a Tub. Plato called me "a Socrates gone mad". The Sinopeans have condemned me to banishment...well - I condemn them to stay at home! My teacher is Antisthenes - pupil of Socrates. He founded the Greek school of cynicism & I am the most notorious cynic...
