"Wer sich bislang nichts unter dem Begriff "Saxon:Blood:Rock" vorstellen konnte, dem sei hiermit die Truppe aus Dresden ans Herz gelegt, die sich diese Bezeichnung für ihre Klänge ausgewählt hat und nun in Form ihres ersten Albums auch auf die Menschheit loslässt. Nicht ganz so einfach lässt sich jedoch eruieren, wer diesen Sachsen das Rocken beigebracht hat. Ein nicht unerheblicher Einfluss auf BEISSERT scheint jedenfalls aus dem Süden der USA zu stammen. Vor allem das bitterböse tönende 'Harvest Song', das wohl auch aus den Sumpfgebieten rund um New Orleans stammen könnte, fesselt den Zuhörer regelrecht an die Boxen. Auch wenn das eingangs behäbige Tempo nicht unbedingt repräsentativ für die Vorgangsweise der Dresdner ist, so drücken BEISSERT speziell in jenen Passagen unheimlich."
