The Spitshine Kid

what once was blood is now gravy

About Me

i've worked my way up from anonymity to being completely unknown in less than three and a half years due to perseverance and true grit. i have no genre. whether it's alternative, folk-70's rock, tape-music or jazz-fusion, the Spitshine Kid looks equally as fetching in a tartan skirt as he does in leisure slacks. He also looks good in a coffin according to Deceased Magazine
in 1 year all 5 of my entries in the Billboard International Songwriter's competition got honorable mentions. the next year my song "after the rain" advanced to the next round of judging in the International Songwriting Competition. i don't want to brag but i excel at trashcan basketball. i can sink a wet tea-bag at half-court. I also do volunteer work for Slackers Without Borders and in 2004 i was White House recipient of the Adolf Hitler Humanitarian Award. In 2004 i was barred from NY State jury duty for "obstructing justice with a meat tenderizer". In 2007 i was awarded the Sore Loser Award from my bowling league for bowling with a grenade. i need to work on my pin release. get it? never mi-- i took a trip to eastern europe last year and was twice voted the Village Idiot of Krakow (for shooting myself in the foot while trying to blow a horse on TV).
i also play lead guitar for the New York City-based experimental punk-funk-garage-salsa fusion combo, Fire Camp www.firecamptheband.com
i did soundtrack songs for the film "Rat Girl" directed by indie New York director, Steven Savitz. okay, to be honest, i am steve savitz. see my art at www.stevesavitz.com
i once planted a pop tart tree and nothing ever grew there again... MySpaceScripts.com Profile Editor
