About Me

I feel like Dora Maar, and the world is Picasso...

My Linguistic Profile:

0% Upper Midwestern

"Whenever the creative force predominates, life is ruled and shaped by the unconscious, rather than by the conscious will, And the ego is swept along on an underground current becoming nothing more than a helpless observer of events." -c.g.jung

My Interests

I mean..of course I am interested in achieving world peace and eradicating poverty..

but I have other interests as well.

I love political debate on issues relating to public policy, IR, Human Rights, Diplomacy

I love to garden...lately I have been interested in organic, heirloom gardens..although, I must admit...gardening can be tricky in a high plains desert.

I am always intrigued by dichotomy...beautiful compositions that seem absurd or grotesque if you take each part individually. Some of the artists I enjoy include Joel Peter Witkin

Rauschenberg, Schiele

de Kooning. Mies van der Rohe, Lalique

To me,the most aesthetically appealing time period of the twentieth century was the 1930s.

I'm more latex than PVC, my favorite animal is a sloth and after the sloth, I love camels. Shakespeare is overrated

I prefer coffee from a can

and I have never seen Titanic (nor do I want to). I recently learned how to play the Udu

and am teaching myself how to play guitar - I am horrible at both. I can't sing to save my life

I am an okay writer, and I do not enjoy swimming in oceans.

Its been 6 years since I last drank alcohol, but now, it seems, I am addicted to black tea.

Before I die, I hope to visit antarctica

and I intend to pretend to grow old gracefully.

I'd like to meet:

"A strong nation, like a strong person, can afford to be gentle, firm, thoughtful, and restrained. It can afford to extend a helping hand to others. It's a weak nation, like a weak person, that must behave with bluster and boasting and rashness and other signs of insecurity."- Jimmy Carter
