If you keep up with what’s new and interesting in New Zealand music, then you will have heard of Christchurch based, singer/songwriter Flip Grater.
This rising star performed at the prestigious SXSW festival last year and has shared the stage with artists such as The Veils, Ben Lee, The Shins, Anika Moa, The Phoenix Foundation and SJD.
Flip's song Long Awaited Sigh recently featured in the season final of hit US TV show Brothers and Sisters and Flip is now working on tracks for her sophomore LP release for 2008.
Flip has just returned from a first-time tour event around NZ!
To celebrate the release of her debut album Cage For A Song, Flip took off on ‘The CookBook Tour’. This solo tour saw Flip traveling big and small town New Zealand in her Lada Station wagon, playing shows and collecting recipes for a cookbook/ tour stories book - OUT NOW is selected cafes nationwide, Real Groovy Stores and online at www.thecookbooktour.com.
