We're stoked to be part of HDU's album release tour, by bringing you the last-ever performance of our acoustic set! We religiously rehearsed the set for almost four months and then took it on a 10-day South Island tour, where we played these songs for hipsters, adults, children and grandparents. It will be hard to part with the wonderful experience of playing these tender renditions, so it will undoubtedly be an emotional farewell.
Not only will it be the last-ever show in this format, but Thomas, our dear friend and former guitarist, will be down from Wellington to reunite us as the same 4-piece line-up that debuted the acoustic set at Camp A Low Hum earlier this year. If you missed us at camp and didn't make it out during our tour, this is a show I think you won't want to miss... I mean, for Pete's sake, it's a show with HDU, right? Don't sit this one out if you like our music - you'll be sorry you did, attract heaps of rancid Karma, and get smashed in the face by a crash-landing flying saucer.
Don't say I didn't warn you...

Reviews for A Maze and Amazement:
Check out what all these lovely mags, rags, and blogs have to say about the album:
-
"Any work that conveys any emotion as powerfully as this album does, merits a whole lot of attention, and if The Enright House continues on this path, soon they'll be pretty difficult to miss. Don't let A Maze and Amazement slip under your musical radar – you'll be sorry you did." - The Silent Ballet
"A beautifully crafted, sombre and atmospheric album... that is washed in lush arrangements. Light some candles, pour a glass of red wine and immerse yourself in this moody gem of an album." - NZ Musician
"A lyrical labyrinth of weird computer bleeps, pretty pop, indie cool and industrial electronica." - The Press
"A Maze and Amazement LP is a beautiful album, complex and dense, but highly accessible. It’s a languid dream, shifting between melancholy and uplift, heavy on mood and texture. (...) It’s ambitious and gorgeous to listen to. While approaching this music from an intellectual angle, it’s also a stirring piece of work that reveals more and more to you every listen... 4/5 stars." - Lumiere Arts Reader
"Lush flowing arrangements scattered with intensity... it's wonderful. Buy it now and see them live... 8.3/10" - Under the Radar
"Some of the most innovative and beautiful music to emerge from these dark lands in many moons." - Cheese on Toast
"The ideal soundtrack for people to break up and fall apart to." - The Critic
