The exact date is unknown, and historians have maintained that it is forever lost. We do know, however, that the band was formed when drummer Tristan, and guitarist/song-writer Danael came together in the crypt of a church and began playing music. Shortly thereafter, on another clouded date, vocalist Allen joined Danael and Tristan. This new triumverate decided on the name "Drachein"; the name and word of Dragon in and ancient and forgotten toungue, for they themselves were dragons among men. Scholars agree that Drachein remained a trinity for a few years, before realizing that more instruments were needed to herald their cause. It was then that long time friend Emmanuel joined ranks with Drachein as rythm guitar player. It has been long known by scholars and historians that the bass guitar proved a tricky but necessary instrument for Drachein. It is currently played by Maxim, thereby completing the band that is Drachein. To this day, Drachein continues to play shows, suffer great indifference from the rest of the NYC metal scene, and hear countless name mis-pronounciations. It is known, however, that the hearts of the Drachein were forged in the fire of adversity, and that they feed on the ashes of their defeat only to grow stronger. Fear ye, o world, for the Drachein are as the blood stained light of the setting sun, and are the last light before all is turned to darkness.
