Sounds Like: Go back to the 19th century to Merthyr Tydfil South Wales a dark bleak town which glowed at night like hell from the ironworks. Disease and hunger were the workers wages. Here I got the feel for these songs amidst the pain of the people who lived and died there. Alot happened in Merthyr Tydfil along time ago. None live who can remember. The Chapels were filled every day of the week and so were the pubs but the chapels to them were all that mattered The pub landlord couldnt save their souls as they saw death every day. In the Psalms I have tried to capture the pain/hope/love that walked the streets nearly 200 years ago in the sunday best heavy pinstripe, flat cap and shoes through which you could feel the sharp stones in the street. This is for the miners, the ironworkers and their families that lived in the hell which was the worlds center of the industrial revolution. And also for their descendants who are lost. It is for them I am screaming screaming at you
