Now, the composition in these songs are ok. It's the obnoxious mastering techniques that get to me. A famous mastering technique is using an obnoxious amount of compression/ limiting to increase the volume of the music as high as possible without distortion, especially on the drums and the bass. Louder does not equal better, especially when the bass and the drums with obnoxious compression/limiting cuts through the entire mid section of the track leaving only the top and the bottom. In other words your song sounds like... SHIT. Music like that doesn't last for more than a couple days.
