Monica Eby - BioGrowing up in a large musical family, Monica was influenced by the music her older siblings were listening to, including Steve Miller, the Eagles, BTO, Boston, Chicago and Fleetwood Mac. Her Midwestern roots, where country music and classic rock go hand-in-hand, are apparent in her song writing and vocals.
Monica Eby and husband Todd first hit the Omaha music scene in 2001 as founders and members of a singer/songwriter collective called Group Therapy. begining as a songwriters gathering in thier home. As several promising artists began to emerge the group began booking and playing various coffeehouses and pubs.In July of 2003, Monica began laying down the tracks for her debut album "I Can't Wait" which has garnered much press and notariety for an Indie - debute release.
Monica linked up with producer/musician Scott Gaeta of The Music Factory (
[email protected]), who proved to be the perfect match to help develop her songs into a fully produced album, with the expertise to take the project to a national level. After 16 months in the studio Monicas CD I Cant Wait is creating a buzz for a debut release, getting great press coverage and getting radio play! The songs will snag you right away with her catchy, 80s pop tune Crazy to a gutsy, blues number, I Cant Wait. Out of 112 applicants, only 12 were chosen that had submitted 3 of their original songs.
