~~~~~~~ Where do I begin? IN THE BEGGINING... naw, too stuffy and boring. Let's see, firstly I love to perform. It has been a very uplifting thing for me for years. Back in High School I was in a rock band for about 2 years called the Mon Con. We did shows at least twice a month. I did rythm guitar and vocals. It was a blast! That is what I would like to call my first "real" job. Music was my life blood for a long time, but after a while I got tired of being a cover artist. I'm not much of a writer so playing guitar wasn't as expressive as I needed it to be. I needed a new outlet to express my creativity. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ My day job is kind of unique. I work at a place called Good Herbs. I's an herb shop (not to be confused with a head shop) and we make herbal extracts and cobinations n stuff. My boss is super cool and my manager works at the Renesance Festival in Holly. Let's just say that on the worst days it's like being in a bad Brittish comedy... which really isn't all that bad. :-) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ One thing I have found I really enjoy is making clothing and costumes. For me, there is a fine line between the two. It is a very satisfying feeling when I can go out and be head to toe in things I have either made or modified. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ For a while my creative drive was in need of serious repair, then a friend of mine, Fleck, showed me a few things about contact juggling. This was the greatest thing since learning how to play guitar. It felt really good to do and is much more portable than a guitar. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ With this new found talent in the works, I was invited to my first Fire Fabulon practice. Everyone there was so friendly, and it was someplace that I could be creative in any sort of fasion. Everything was useful in some way. I even got to bring out my life sized k'nex skeleton, Billy Bonez, a.k.a. Bone Daddy. He is in the process of becoming a puppet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ Fire Fabulon has been one of the best thigs I've had the opportunity to be involved with. The group is a family and is supportive of everyones creativity. If there is something you would like to learn, you simply ask and someone there will teach you. Ahh, 'tis poetry in motion. Fire Fabulon has also given me a whole new performance forum.
