It's time to raise your consciousness to a higher level. If you don't do it now, you may never do it. One person can initiate change, one person can be the catalyst that rips the blindfold from your eyes. Are you going to sit back and wait for someone to decide to care on if you should see the truth or are you going to demand that for yourself? If so, how so? How you going to make your mind heard if you choose to continue to be gagged? It's not about reform, it's not about reorganization . . . . it's about revolution. . . .(R)Evolution. . . .OUR EVOLUTION!!!!
THINK, THINK, THINK--Don't take life as it comes, you need to make life as YOU come. Being a positive Indian woman, I can see that there is light at the end of our struggles. I learned that as soon as I became a mother. I realized that if it is the right thing to do, then that thing is going to take a lot of hard ass work and struggle from you to make it reality. Don't become discouraged by those ignorant people, because all they need is to be reminded-to be informed, so they have the skills to pass that knowledge to their kids, their families, and most of all, to themselves. My favorite quote: "A fool can't play the wise but the wise can act a fool."
So, I don't know if people really read these, but I am trying to live my life more positive. I live for the future and for my baby girls. I am an American Indian woman raising the next generation of strong Native women. I am a part of the Ute Tribe, which coexists with the state of Colorado and also the Klamath Tribe by southern Oregon. I am proud to be raised the way I was. I had some of the most strong Native parents that could ever exist. My dad always made sure that I knew who I was and where I came from because he knew it would help me to find out where I needed to go. My mom, beautiful, intelligent, everything that I hoped I could be, has been there through everything. She has shown me what true strength is, even after my dad passed away a few years ago. I love all of my Indigenous people. We have so much to offer this society, and we are capable of so many things.

Music:

..Where would I be if all the beauty of music did not exist? I love to listen to different kinds of genres. I TOTALLY *HEART* ATMOSPHERE!! Slug is one of the illest....there it's out of my system. Digging that BOOM BAP 'ish!! Can't get enough of that underground/indie stuff but I find the mainstream crap to be pretty amusing when I'm bored. Movies:

LOVE THEM! Yeah, I was too lazy to type out a damn list for this section..... HORROR

Television:

Ooo, tv is a great pastime for me. I love watching all of the reality crap, it's very intriguing. A lot of people try to cut out tv time but not I. Fortunately my major in college requires me to be an avid participant of television viewing. I must study the media, so therefore I watch as much as I can. But I prefer movies, films, and documentaries over t.v.

Books:

I have read a few books that I have enjoyed like novels by Sherman Alexie. Love his sarcastic humor and his point of view of life. Still working through the Hopi Survival Kit.

Heroes:

Most children have great enough parents to name them as their heroes. I love both my mom, Cynthia, and my dad, Saa Swanis-hiswaqs. My mom has given so much advice and love to me and I cherish every bit of it. My father past away February 2005, but he left a piece of his wisdom, strength, and kind-heartedness to me and all of my other siblings.

THIS LADY IS SO AWESOME!!! Multi-talented and high levels of motivation and dedication!! Go Happy!!
