This is a brief history of how The Rob and Garner Show came to be
When Robbie met Garner no, that just wont work anyway, Rob and Garner met several years ago while performing in different bands. Eventually Rob was asked to join a band with Garner, Mark Culler and Mark Muday called Cowtown which eventually became 2 Northwest. Rob and Garner soon became good friends along with having a great mutual respect for one anothers musical talents.
One night in the summer of 2003 Nick, one of the owners of Simeris in South Bend IN asked Rob and Garner to come check out Frank and Ben from Gretchens Revenge, who were performing an acoustic set. Nick wanted Rob and Garner to come out and do a few songs, which sounded like a pretty good idea. So they did and had a great time and got a great response from the crowd.
As so it began...
In the beginning there were actually 3 members of this acoustic group the other being the lovely and talented Christine from the band Vinylized. The trio played several shows that summer and had some great success. Time went by and Christines dedication to her family and her band could no longer allow her to be a part of this acoustic show and they had to part ways.
Not knowing what to call their acoustic project and having played several shows as themselves they just decided on The Rob and Garner Show as their name. They have played several shows since their formation and continue to add new clubs and new fans along the way. Each show brings an exciting blend of great music, great friendships and even a little comedy (courtesy of Garner). This is definitely an experience you dont want to miss. Catch this incredibly talented duo at a club near you!
