Strange as Angels

A Beautiful Racket

About Me

For over a decade, Strange as Angels (aka Rob Talasman) has existed relatively under the radar of the Toronto electronic music scene. Composing and performing live since the age of 15, Rob is best known for his prolific output and performance driven live shows.
Having experienced synaesthesia since a young age, Rob sees his music in brilliant colour. His initial interest in electronic music derived almost exclusively upon his discovery of his ability to sculpt and blend tonal textures the way a visual artist would blend colours.
Rob describes his music as "a beautiful, multi-layered racket". He has tried his hand at everything from Synth-Pop and Trance to full-on Industrial. Currently however, he has found satisfaction in bluring the lines between ambient and harsh over-driven beats, somewhat comparable to the likes of Boards of Canada, Ulrich Schnauss and "Exile" era Gary Numan.
Placing high precidence on emotionally resonant and memorable songwriting, Rob Talasman forges on, making the music he wants to hear--and sharing it with those interested along the way.
