They laughed when I said I wanted to do stand up. They're not laughing now.

About Me

I do laughing. Sometimes I make other people do laughing too. I like laughing.

My Interests

The ale, rugby, the ale, wine, the ale, comedy, the ale, knowledge. That last one is undefined.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone in the north east who likes stand up comedy; anyone in the country who likes stand up comedy; anyone in the world who likes stand up comedy.

Music:

Very much a fan of the singer songwriter, but anything with an indie feel will find a little space in my heart. Currently enjoying the kooks, divine comedy and Imogen Heap a lot.

Movies:

I loved life is beautiful. Napoleon Dynamite too.

Television:

I'd rather not. But god bless the paramount channel and the amount of standup they bring us.

Books:

Thems that I really should have read by now.

Heroes:

Bowie, Churchill, Leonard, Milligan.

My Blog

I have been busy.  Clearly evidenced by my lack of bloggity. I turned 30 on 13th May, which was an experience that I told myself wouldn't matter.  It's all just numbers.  Some people wh...

Busy angry happy confused

...in that order Yesterday was a very busy day, I had a lot to do with work getting ever busier, and at least 3 different people trying their luck at blaming me for stuff they forgot to do. This led t...

Leaders?

I've been to a couple of interviews recently, where the company I work for ask me for 'proof that I exhibit the behaviours of a good leader'. They have a list, and as they go down the list, ticking ea...

Old man, bank holiday, drill

Not really stopped since wednesday last.  Had a great gig in Liverpool, and a slightly self indulgent one in Newcastle which had a load of my friends in.  It was lovely, but embarrassing in ...

What to buy, and how to relax

I have to buy a gift for a lady and I have no idea what to get.  I've been used to one living in the house and dropping 'subtle' hints about what she wants.  Now I have to show great presenc...

Weekendy weekend

I had a very 'weekendy' weekend. Because I was supposed to be dead busy, I made sure I had very few gigs booked in April.  Because the busy-ness is on hold at the moment, I am having a lot of eve...
