Tanya Mellotte and Mark Gordon founded SKIBUNNY in 1998 in the café of a tiny Italian restaurant in Belfast. It wasnt long before Radio 1 started using words like groundbreaking. As the club grew so did the reputation-David Holmes was a regular guest, turning up un-announced with a bag of records to play to the crowd.

Over the years Skibunny has also promoted shows by bands as diverse as THE HANDSOME FAMILY, SPARKLEHORSE, MAKE UP, FRIDGE, THE SUPERSUCKERS, SNOW PATROL and the debut Northern Irish show by THE GO! TEAM.

As well as the Club, Tanya and Mark have DJd the length and breadth of the globe-whether it be playing between bands like THE WHITE STRIPES and FRANZ FERDINAND at the Vital festival in Belfast, playing aftershows for everyone from ASH to THE SCISSOR SISTERS, and popping up at festivals like T IN THE PARK and in the MTV Live Tent at OXEGEN. Individually you might have bumped into one of them behind the turntables in places as far away as NEW YORK and RUSSIA . Or if you were in London in May 2006, that was them ripping it up at the seminal DEATH DISCO. In the last year they've opened for EROL ALKAN, JUAN MACLEAN, SHIT ROBOT, THE RAPTURE, LCD SOUNDSYSTEM and THE GO! TEAM as well as parties in SXSW and in NYC and DJing at ROCKNESS 2007 in the Bestival Bar curated by ROB DA BANK alongside Rob himself and CAGED BABY, and Prague's SUMMER OF LOVE FESTIVAL. SKIBUNNY DJs have just completed a tour of JAPAN alongside HANDSOMEBOY TECHNIQUE, HALFBY and BUTTERNUT, taking in OSAKA, TOKYO and NAGOYA.

Skibunny continues to attract a sell-out crowd every Saturday at its current home of Auntie Annies, Belfast. Their 2007 WHAT TIME IS LOVE mix CD reflects their music policy, mixing everything from RATATAT to SONNY JIM, from MY BLOODY VALENTINE to PIZZICATO FIVE..... August 2006 saw the first Skibunny DJs remix, Oppenheimer's "Breakfast in NYC", which went on to be used by NIKE online. Other remixes include FORWARD RUSSIA and THE FREELANCE HELLRAISER. Expect an EP of original SKIBUNNY material coming soon in late Autumn 2007

The groundbreaking and downright charismatic Skibunny: BBC RADIO 1

Absolute genius, I had a great night: STEVE LAMACQ, 6music

Skibunny has built a following among Belfasts hipstersRecommended: NME

Absolutely wicked: ROB DA BANK, Radio 1

Good times, good music, good vibe. If it’s good, it goes on is the philosophy, and we’ll all have a good time. The whole place tonight has an end of the world and we don’t care vibe. If that is the case, then we’ve found our DJs: BBC RADIO ULSTER

The spiritual home of Belfast's hipsters, SKIBUNNY is undeniably cool, laidback and has a party atmosphere most clubs would die for: AU Magazine

It's the best place to go out in Northern Ireland in my opinion: ACROSS THE LINE, BBC RADIO ULSTER
