Vinyl and record players, BEARDS, mountains, winter sun, camping and outdoor survival. Playin' horseshoes. Anyone or anything that can make me melt into little puddles of bliss like Neil Young, The Band and pedal steels can. Red wine and whiskey. I love gem stones and trees. A great live band and some pints. I love wood and I want to be a carpenter or find one. Landscapes (drastic). Talkin' tunes with other folks. Playing music (lead guitar, banjo and spoons) and dancing my arse off to it. I love storms and eerie clouds. I love old things - old music, old barns, old towns. San Francisco and sunny California, traveling and road trips. I always love going North, and I love the West - Pacific and all it's glory and sunsets. South is right up there as well with my favorite directions for several different reasons - Music being the biggest. East sends me back home to the UK, so I love it too. Mexico and Spanish tiles. Basking in the sun at music festivals. Stompin' my feet on wood floors. Cowboy boots, bandannas, and hats. Whiskey & Cigarette voices. I love Native art, jewelry and culture.
Anyone who fancies coming along to music festivals, and people who are living the dream (self-sustainability).

Canned Heat (they're just heavy) Townes Van Zandt, Gram Parsons, Hayes Carll (so into him right now), Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Allman Brothers, Joan Baez, Steve Earle, CSNY, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Dutch Mason (trio), The Doors, Jimmy Reed (I love him!), Willie Dixon, Joni Mitchell, Johnny Cash, Muddy Waters, John Prine, Janis Joplin, Jason Molina (Magnolia Electric Co., etc.,), Tim Buckley, Jefferson Airplane, Free, The Greenhornes, The Sadies, Jimi Hendrix, Willie Nelson, Waylon & Shooter Jennings, Corb Lund & the Hurtin' Albertans, Gillian Welch, Emmylou Harris, Marshall Tucker Band and the Ozark Mountain Daredevils (they move me right along) ... Drive-By Truckers "Near Memphis, cotton country, rice country, the most interesting thing is probably the music. (Scorsese) Levon, who came from around there? Carl Perkins. Muddy Waters, the king of country music. (Robertson) Elvis Presley. (Helm) Johnny Cash. Bo Diddley. That's kind of the middle of the country back there. So bluegrass or country music, you know, if it comes down to that area and if it mixes there with rhythm and if it dances, when you've got a combination of all those different kinds of music. Country, bluegrass, blues music. - (Robertson) The melting pot. - (Helm) Show music. - (Scorsese) And what's it called? - Rock and roll!"
