Too many to name but here are a few that aren't mentioned on the music space...Minnie Riperton, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Bootsy Collins, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Hall & Oates, The Doobie Brothers (did they name themselves after a joint?!), Sting, Lenny Kravitz, Tina Turner, Tracy Chapman....and on and on..every conscious song I've ever heard has left its own indelible impression on my mind, heart and musical sensibility...
"The Color Purple" for it's timelessness, perfect performances and beautiful cinematography, "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" because it was my first (hopefully of many!) starring role and because I have met some really cool people who were touched by it in some way, "Jackie Brown" because I kind of dig Quentin Terantino (did I spell his name right?) and I love Samuel Jackson's portrayal of the character that I affectionately call "THE NIGGA", Spike Lee's "She's Gotta Have It" because I do and "She Hate Me" because I don't, "What Dreams May Come" and "Defending Your Life" because I think they accurately portray the after-life, and "Ghandi" because he was so heavenly. Honorable mentions to "Juwanna Mann" and "Madea's Family Reunion" because I'm in them!
I don't get to watch too much but when I do it's Lost, Lost, Lost....also 24, Real Time w/Bill Maher, The Boondocks, and my guilty pleasures: Survivor and...American Idol
