BIOGRAPHY
Desde la isla de Puerto Rico, the birthplace of reggaeton, Carlito P. el Coqui adds his unique Latin flavor and island sound to the eclectic roster of La Familia Muzik.
Always drawn to music from a young age, Carlito recounts, In my family, music has always been very important. I cant remember a family gathering where there wasnt at least a guitar being played. The youngest of 6 children, Carlito grew up learning to play guitar, bass, drums, Latin percussion, keyboard, piano, and even trumpet without any formal training. Upon moving to Lakeland, FL at the age of 13, he began putting his learned skills to use playing keyboard and percussion in Klema, his local church band. While in high school, he formed a band called Rice-n-Beanz with a group of fellow classmates. The band was short-lived as was his following musical endeavor with a rap group called C.C.P. in 2002. Finally in 2003, Carlito linked with friend and local rap artist SYD to begin Caribbean Outreach. The group evolved, and male vocalist Ryan Horton joined Carlito and SYD to form Seeds of Worship. As a group, the three young men disbanded, but all still continue to work together as artists under La Familia Muzik, each pursuing his calling in music ministry.
Working now as an individual artist, Carlito states, I thank God for the talents he has given me, and I honestly hope people can vibe and enjoy the music I make. Theres a message in my lyrics that I want people to hear and understand. To break social boundaries, racial boundaries, even religious boundaries. To show this world that Gods Word is very much alive, that His Spirit still moves among us today, and that His promises of salvation and eternal life are real and true. Its something they must hear. Its something they must understand. Its something they must experience for themselves.
A musical enthusiast for nearly all of his life, Carlito P. incorporates a variety of styles into his unique sound. From the Latin progressions of Santana to the aggressive delivery of DMX. From the Spanish lyrics of Vico C. to the pop-rock of No Doubt. Not only bridging the gap between the eternal significance of the cross and todays generation, Carlito P. also extends Christs love and hope beyond language barriers as he delivers his musical message to the Latin culture.

Pressure: The Mixtape
On the heels of The United Vision Mixtape hosted DJ D-Lite, La Familia Muzik follows up with their second free mixtape of 2007, Pressure: The Mixtape. Hosted by Flavor Alliance’s DJ Lopez and in anticipation of La Familia Muzik artist SYD’s upcoming release Pressure, the project features 7 exclusive, all-original songs with features from 3D Remedy and Miz Rock of Evolution Musik, Sicily and Meta4 of 2ice Born Records, J-City and Real of Emerge Records, and fellow La Familia Muzik artists Foolish, Carlito P., and Ryan Horton.
In addition to the 7 exclusive tracks, the first single off of the full-length album Pressure will also be included on the mixtape (“Friday Night†produced by J. Pierre of Illuminaticx Entertainment and featuring Ryan Horton) as well as snippets from 4 other songs that will also appear on the release scheduled for July 30th, 2007.

La Familia Muzik Announces SYD's, Pressure, Release Date
La Familia Muzik burst onto the scene in summer 2006 with their debut compilation album, The Heist, which featured music from the entire La Familia Muzik roster. Now, the La Familia artists prepare to launch off on their own, beginning with SYD and his solo album, Pressure.
Pressure, slated to release on July 30th, 2007 under La Familia Muzik will feature the new lyrical talent of SYD, who had only previously recorded and released one album to date.
In addition to the album release, single releases are scheduled for March and May of 2007 and a free Pressure promotional mixtape hosted by Fla.vor Alliance's DJ Lopez (featuring 2ice Born Records artists Sicily and Meta4, La Familia Muzik artists Foolish and Carlito P., Evolution Musik artists 3D Remedy and Miz Rock, Emerge Productions artists J-City and Tonio, and many other cameo appearances) will be released digitally beginning March 30th, 2007.
