My life revolves around dualities. I am part 'cool guy' and part 'nerd'. I love science and I love art. I am logical yet passionate. I can be selfish yet selfless to those whom deserve it. I am an Atheist, an artist, a philosopher, a critic, and most of all, I'm a thinker. I use every part of my brain that I can. I don't deny the logical side nor do I deny the emotional side. Sometimes I live in my fantasies for too long. I like to try everything once (as long as it won't kill me). I fear mortality, I fear complacency, and I fear being forgotten. I want to express myself to the whole world, I want to be famous, to have control over every aspect of my life, to lead, to live like no one has lived before, and I want to live forever. I am an optimist: forever doomed to dissappointment yet I don't have the ability to give up hope. I want to cause change, to see the future, to find out what humans are truly capable of. I believe in the power of knowledge, I have faith in the ability of science and reason to lead us to greater understanding and greater capability. I do not believe in any god as I have never seen a shred of evidence supporting such a claim. I believe that reality is real, is objective, and that we must not reject it. I live by the truth that happiness can only be achieved by man's commitment to the purposes of Reason, Productivity, and Self Esteem.
I have many skills and hobbies that I am currently developing. I play piano, bass guitar, and sax. I sing, I write music, poetry, and prose. I draw, I paint, and I am currently learning 3D animation. I like to dance, to talk, to wear crazy glamourous make-up, to wear crazy glamourous clothes. I am constantly trying to lead a fuller life, to know more and more about the world, to create, to express, to enjoy life. If I have to die some day, I want to die satisfied.
anyone can catch me on Yahoo as christianblack5 and on live journal as christianblack
This is my newest art. If all goes well this should be on a t-shirt very soon. I will post the link to the web site where the t-shirt can be purchased.
Here is an artistic depiction of me done by Mika . There are few better compliments in this world than being drawn.
You scored as Strong Egoism. Your life is very much guided by the concept of Egoism: You work primarily to promote your own interests.
"I swear by my life, and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine."
"I am not primarily an advocate of capitalism, but of egoism; and I am not primarily an advocate of egoism, but of reason. If one recognizes the supremacy of reason and applies it consistently, all the rest follows."
--Ayn Rand

This is an amazing speech given by Marilyn Manson at the Disinfo.con 2000 conference on our culture of violence.
"Pondering, then, why it can be that in those ancient times people were greater lovers of liberty than in these, I believe that it came from the same cause that makes men now less strong. That I believe is the difference between our education and the ancient, founded on the difference between our religion and the ancient. Ours, because it shows us the truth and the true way, makes us esteem less the honor of the world. . . . Our religion has glorified humble and contemplative men rather than active ones. It has, then, set up as the highest good humility, abjectness, and contempt for human things. . . . Though our religion asks that you have fortitude within you, it prefers that you be adapted to suffering rather than to doing something strong. This way of living, then, has made the world weak and turned it over as prey to wicked men, who can in security control it, since the generality of men, in order to go to heaven, think more about enduring their injuries than avenging them." (Discourses II.2, trans. Allan Gilbert, modified by TGW.)

On Goths:
"It's like Sodom and Gomorrah all over again, but with drugs. I heard that they sacrifice babies on the dancefloor, and that's why they wear "PVC", because the blood wipes off more easily." – Janet Majors, 19
"Emotions are not tools of cognition. An emotion will not tell or show anyone how to find a cure for cancer nor can it properly determine how a person should act. To feel like doing something does not mean it is right to do it. Only reason can determine what is right and what man should do." Steve Ditko (co-creator of Spider-Man)
