Comparing myself to Christ. Hard boiled eggs and tuna. Worrying about misspelling the word "appreciate." I play bass; I can play Queen's "Under Pressure" though I have yet mastered "Ice Ice Baby;" I can't figure out that "itty bitty ting" that The Ice Man spoke of. Seriously though, I spend pretty much all my time job hunting and working out.
Jack Nicholson (I mean again, I already met him once...)
I have been accused (semi-accurately) of having a man-crush on my idol Zach Braff; see the first YouTube clip on my Heroes section.
I think that George Orwell was probably one chill motherfucker to hang out with, if he wasn't dead I'd get into a fistfight with him, just to say that I did.
Anyone who puts Jesus under the heroes section of their myspace profile and isn't being ironic (same goes for those who jokingly put down "body builder" under "Body Type" or caucasians who describe their "Ethnicity" as "Black / African descent" and are blissfully unaware of how many other people use the same joke (bless their naiive hearts))
Last but certainly not least: JIMMY KIMMEL so I can decapitate him and marry the goddess SARAH SILVERMAN!!!!

My two all-time favourite bands are The Who and The Beatles who should join forces (b/c The Who are missing a drummer and a bass player and the surviving Beatles are now just the drummer and the bass player) to form the supergroup to end all supergroups: THE WHO-TLES!
ALL TIME TOP FIVE FAVE BANDS:
1) The Who
2)The Beatles/John Lennon
3)Nirvana/Guns & Roses (tie; Nirvana represents who I am, GNR represents who I wish I was)
4) Green Day/Nine Inch Nails (the first two bands I ever loved)
My favourite non-broken-up band are Rockland County natives Coheed and Cambria.
I'm sorry, but I can't stand Dave Matthews and I don't get The Greatful Dead (though, to be fair, I've never heard the bootlegs). I do kinda like Phish though.
I also like the indie/UK bands that sound like REM and Cake but AREN'T. Anyone who knows what I'm talking about and has some suggestions, I'd love to hear them...
I've been listening to Matisyahu, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Clash and Guns N Roses alot lately. Bob Dylan, The Cars, The Police, The Ramones, Nirvana and Elton John are all awesome too.
I recently discovered Daniel Johnston, through the terrific documentary THE DEVIL AND DANIEL JOHNSTON, the most different, brilliant, wonderful music ever. Sort of like a cross between Bob Dylan and Wesley Willis (it'll make sense when you hear it, and you will...)
FIVE MOVIES I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO:
The Dark Knight: July 18, 2008 - - When I first heard the news of Heath Ledger's passing (poor guy, RIP) my (apparently psychic) sister looked right at me and said "don't worry, Batman's finished shooting."
The X-Files: I Want to Believe: July 24, 2008
Pineapple Express: August 8, 2008 - One of those Judd Apatow/Superbad comedies.
W.: October 17, 2008 - The Great Oliver Stone's George W. Bush biopic.
Star Trek: May 8, 2009
FAVES (BOLD text indicates an all-time favourite): Airplane!, Almost Famous, Annie Hall, Batman Begins, Being John Malkovich, The Big Lebowski, Blazing Saddles, Blue Velvet, Boondock Saints, Bowfinger, Casablanca, Casino, Chasing Amy, Clerks I & II, Crimes & Misdemeanors, Death To Smoochy, The Departed, THE DEVIL AND DANIEL JOHNSTON, Dirty Work, Dodgeball, Donnie Darko, The Doors, Duck Soup, Ed Wood, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, ET, Everything You've Always Wanted To Know About Sex (*But Were Afraid To Ask), Fight Club, The Filth and The Fury, Freddy Got Fingered (BITCH), Garden State, Ghostbusters, The Graduate, Groundhog Day, A Hard Day's Night, High Fidelity, Igby Goes Down, In The Line Of Fire, JFK, Kill Bill, Million Dollar Baby, Natural Born Killers, Nixon, Office Space, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, The People Under The Stairs, Pirates Of The Carribean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl, The Producers, Pulp Fiction, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Robin Hood: Men In Tights, RoboCop, The Royal Tennenbaums, Rushmore, Say Anything..., Scarface, The Shining, THE SIMPSONS MOVIE, Singles (really underrated grunge flick), SLC Punk!, Spaceballs, Spider-Man 2, Star Trek II: The Wrath of...KHAAANN!!!, The Star Wars Thrillogy, Swingers, Syriana, Taxi Driver, Trainspotting, Wayne's World, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Young Frankenstein and more, I own far more DVDs than anyone probably should...
Also, let's not forget Ed Wood's classic Plan 9 From Outer Space, internationally recognized as the WORST movie ever made (just listen to the opening monologue, which I love with all my heart, if you have any doubt): ..
BEST CURRENT SHOWS: FIRST PLACE - Lost, The Sarah Silverman Program (best title ever) and The Daily Show / Colbert Report (it's the same show, get over it).
SECOND PLACE - The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Heroes,(actually kind of tied with Lost; Lost is better overall but Heroes is more consistent week-to-week, pretty much every season of Lost has been five episodes of edge-of-your-seat perfection followed by 10-20 episodes of filler with a few minor revelations sprinkled in here-and-there then a mind-blowing season finale that leaves you breathless waiting for more, the writers deserve a lot of credit for expanding upon Season 3's finale instead of trying to top it in Season 4) Conan O'Brien and I never miss Ebert & Roeper
ALL-TIME TOP THREE: The X-Files, The Simpsons (old school, of course), Seinfeld (couldn't've guessed I grew up in the '90s).
BRILLIANT BUT CANCELLED (check out these motherfuckers on DVD): TITUS (had it lasted longer, would be in the all-time tops) Arrested Development, Pete & Pete, Police Squad, THE BEN STILLER SHOW (like an early '90s version of Chappelle's Show, just as funny, but a little dated) Pee-Wee's Playhouse, The Critic, My So-Called Life, Freaks And Geeks, Upright Citizens Brigade, Twin Peaks(like The X-Files plus LOST on acid, times ten)
RUNNERS UP: Scrubs (this last season was weak), Kids In The Hall, Taxi, THE MUNSTERS, The Office (UK), Futurama, Cheers, Frasier, Entourage, The Twilight Zone, Looney Tunes, Chappelle's Show, South Park, Happy Days, Beavis & Butthead, Married...With Children, Daria
I think it's cool when people put the book they are currently reading on their myspace page, so I'll do it too, while hack-ily giving them props...
CURRENTLY READING: Candy Girl: A Year In The Life Of An Unlikely Stripper by, Diablo "Juno" Cody.
I recently finished John Kennedy Toole's classic A Confederacy Of Dunces - HILARIOUS, definitely check it out, a fave of Artie Lange, Slash and, my second favourite comedian of all time, Bill Hicks (Carlin is my number one); it inspired me to have the mascot of an evil corporation tell me what time it is... Backstory - Toole killed himself when he was unable to publish it, eleven years later his mother was finally able to do so AND it won the Pulitzer, howdoyalikethat? They tried to make it into a movie three times; once with Jon Belushi, then with John Candy, then Chris Farley, wonder what happened...
Also great is last years comedy memoirs Born Standing Up: A Comic's Life by, STEVE MOTHERFUCKING MARTIN! (author of The Pleasure of my Company - an all time fave) Really fantastic, check it out when you can.
i honestly really respect people who list their parents on the Heroes section. However, both of mine are fuckfaces, but i will list my sis, Lara, for being the single greatest human being in history, way better than jesus...
I remember when I was asked who my hero was in sixth grade I said Jerry Seinfeld. In ninth grade I said (semi-seriously) Howard Stern. I don't feel much differently now, although I similarly idolize Joseph Pujol, easily the Greatest French Person Ever (look him up on Wikipedia if you are unfamiliar...) not to mention Mr. Scott Baio.
I'm fascinated by people with outspoken views who speak them out in an outspoken way, which leads me to this youtube video of easily the most bad-assed motherfucker I've ever seen:
..
and that's not even mentioning this guy...
And let's not forget these two guys..
Kinda make you proud to be an American, don't they?
...and my favourite actor is Steve Buscemi (my fave director is Oliver Stone)
