On Guitar, Keyboard, and Lead Vocals is Rob Blackness . Blackness cut his teeth in various local bands, including the pop-rock band BLacK RoseS, where he was the singer and guitarist from 1999-2003. A natural songwriter, Rob has been playing one instrument or another since age five. As a life-long lover and student of music, Rob can be found offstage strumming an acoustic guitar, purchasing records, or in his studio producing other bands. His unique vocal style, solid guitar playing and songwriting are the core of In Question.
“I like to keep things interesting,†says Blackness, “music is a living thing, deeply a part of who we are as humans. At an In Question show you never know what you are going to get. The songs won’t always sound as they do on our albums, the choice of cover songs will always change. You can’t even be sure what instrumentation you're going to see; all you can know is that it will be an experience…and the best parts of life are the experiences.â€
On Bass Guitar, Programming and Vocals is Tony Hung . A former member of seasonal band Steel Cricket, Tony has been a member of In Question since the beginning. Tony has been a guitarist and bassist for over ten years, yet he also doubles as an accomplished recording engineer and website designer. With an appreciation for diverse music that is at times overwhelming, Tony brings a huge amount of energy and sincerity to the table. His dynamic bass playing and sense of rhythm lock the groove into the In Question sound.
Also on Guitar is Matt "Strippy" Stritmater . With tastes and influences ranging from Ozzy and Iron Maiden to Faith No More and Red Hot Chili Peppers to Frank Zappa and Lamb of God, Strippy brings a boost of diverse talent to the group. The middle brother in a musical family of 6 siblings, Strippy has had music everywhere in his life since age 8. In the past Strippy has toured with In Question as a sound engineer and is now a welcomed addition as a full time member of In Question.
Last, but certainly not least is Kenny Crowell on Drums and Percussion. The newest member in a long line of In Question drummers, Kenny brings new life to the drum kit and much welcomed desire and creativity. A diehard fan of music, Kenny draws influence from all types of musicians, from guitarists like Zakk Wylde, bassists like Mike Inez, and of course drummers like John Bonham, Sean Kinney, and many others. Aside from being a drummer, Kenny also rocks the percussion kit at acoustic gigs. His solid tempos and beats provide In Question with a firm backbone.
