Producer ,Baldy Loc.
Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Anthony Alexander a producer also known as Baldy. exploded on to the hip hop scene in the early 90s when he alligned himself with cross town rivals New Breed Of Hustlas and started producing for record label Mobstyle Records.There Baldy connected with childhood friend and platinum producer Meech Wells. Meech is the son of Motown legend Mary Wells and nephew of the great Bobby Womack.After producing several tracks with the help of Meech Wells ( artists such as Snoop Dogg, Eastsiders and Shaquille Oneil), Baldy came to Vancouver, B.C. to start Hard Tymez Records and mix down his debut solo album 9991? The independent release experienced radio and sales success that enabled the label to continue the trend with a string of 5 albums and over a hundred shows. Although the label itself went on a brief hiatus for personal reasons, the artists of Hard Tymez (Alibi, Bianca, Close Custody, Hill B, Kay Ramzes, Knucklehead, Thrill and Critcal ) are all soon to be reunited on Baldys latest release, and second solo album titled Overtime. With this highly anticipated album, it is apparent that Baldys productions still maintain his status in the underground scene while incorporating the club bangin vibe of the West Coast.To increase the diversity on this hot collaboration Baldy linked up with additional artists JT- 420 , Checkmate, Concise, Zukie Joseph, Bishop, B Diamond, Wojack, Tha Scumlife and tha Twinz from Long Beach ) Baldy has also linked up with additional producers Thrill, Meech Wells, JP, Keamo, David Morose (B.A.C) and Hill B to further solidify its success.Note:Seattle based producer Thrill produced the single for Overtime titled Fealingz . Overtime will be ready for distribution in JANUARY 2007!!!
At the present time Baldy is back in the studio working on his follow up ta OVERTIME called The C SYde'.Once agin he claims his place wit more production; also teaming up agin wit Meech Wells and Thrill ; he add more west coast flavour wit Mr Cas, The New Breed of Hustlas, Mr Narcotic ; Az;s ZGang, South Cetral Cartel's Big Prodeje, Bad Azz, Kuckleheadbanga, Binky Womack and many more; Baldy says'"This album is my contrabution ta bringing the Trophy Back Ta CAli'; It's part of the westcoast movement" Be on the lookout for the C Syde next year 2008!!
