Live life to the fullest

About Me

I'm Rob Nelson, Producer of Ecogeeks. I'm a scientist, educator and filmmaker. Basically I'm a biology nerd. I think crawling around in swamps, jungles, on mountains, in the ocean and anywhere there is wildlife, is the best thing in the world. Thats why I became a biologist (technically marine biologist). I found out later that what I really liked the most was telling others about the cool things I found. The best way to do that is through media ... web and video. After leaving Hawaii I started my second masters degree in Film-making at the wildlife film school at Montana State University. Now my friends and I, who are avid educators explore and teach K-12 students about the wonders of this world. (www.thewildclassroom.com and www.explorebiodiversity.com are our two websites.)Watch our recent video podcasts here:

I'd like to meet:

We'd like to meet everyone with a passion about nature, or anyone that believes adventure is around every corner. I'd really like to hook up with some other filmmakers and biologists who love exploring and want to share that with others. If you feel that you can't get everything out of every day and you wish you didn't have to sleep ... we share similar passions.Want to join our crew? We need people that are crazy about science that can encourage the younger generation, and get them excited about nature!
