Hailing from the capitol city of Lansing, Michigan, Mad Marvolous (born Jahmari Davis) has been making music before he ever laid a finger on a single keyboard, using any and everything around him as an impromptu instrument. It wasn’t until he found himself locked up in his high school music composition laboratory amongst friends and other artists for hours on end, that he finally heard his call to excellence in music production. As an accomplished concert clarinetist and percussionist, Marvolous learned the intricacies of melodic and harmonic manipulation, making music dance for him. Expanding his musical horizons, Marvolous earned a degree in Recording Industry at Middle Tennessee State University, where his style began to flourish and the young producer came into his own. Contributing to his musical prowess as influences are legendary musical geniuses such as Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Jermaine Dupri, John Phillip Sousa, Duke Ellington, and Handel. Proving that his sound cannot be confined to any one genre or geographic area, Mad Marvolous has worked with an array of artists encompassing locales from the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia to the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles. Marvolous has worked with up and coming artists such as Mystery, Pro, HB, Thoroughbred, Kizzy Kirb, and Bless, as well as hip hop heavyweights such as Yukmouth and The Regime. Mad Marvolous has also has the opportunity to work under world renowned mix engineer and producers Dave Aron and The Scientist. It seems this mind-boggling producer has now, it doesn’t matter who has next.
