Hay guy’s…Just want to say a little bit about the two songs on my profile. This first song is called “Dangerous”. I wrote it in June 2008 and it’s about seeing someone…could be anywhere and there’s that instant attraction…and if u have a listen to the song the rest tells the story.lol…Hope u like it. The second song is called “Breathless”. I wrote it in May 2008 and u can check out on my you tube video’s of me in the studio recording it. lol…some good vocals and some bad vocals but…u gotta take the good with the bad sometimes.lol. (Recorded in Q10 Studios - Larry Primrose)

The third track is called “Push Me Down” written and sung by me.lol. This is the first song I have written and recorded since the band I was in “Streetside”, who where wicked may I add…Check out I Tunes to hear Streetside single “Itchy Boomba”. The forth song is called “Gravity” which is a cover song originally written and recorded by a great female solo artist called Sara Bareilles. I first heard this song in a film called “Loving Annabelle” Written & Directed by Katherine Brooks and it brought tears to my eyes, by the time the song was finished all I could think was “I need to record that song” so I done my research and found out who sung it. The fith track is called “Wars Of The World” which i wrote when i was in Streetside...it was one of the last songs we recorded together as a band and features The Glasgow Youth Choir. I wrote this song because at the time...everytime i opend up a newspaper or turned on the T.V to watch the news all i seen was how bad a place this world really is and just wanted to share my views with you all. Hay i'm Dee, I grew up in Glasgow and have always been into music from a very early age. I was a member of all girl Hip Hop/ RnB band Streetside from 2001 till 2008 where we performed to crowds of 50 thousand people at gigs such as “Free At The Dee” and 7 Thousand People at “Go 4 It” with act’s like Charlotte Church, Lee Ryan, Matt Willis, Duncan James, El Presidente, East 17 and many more. We also released a single in 2006 “Itchy Boomba” with Blacksuga Records and made 2 Video’s – One British version and one International version. The 7 years I spent with Streetside where a blast, I met some great people and had some amazing experiences and feel that now is the time for me to step up as a solo artist.

Background - I was 14 when I got my first taste for the music industry. I wrote and recorded my first song “Tell Me (Do You Like It Like That)” and it was at that time I was introduced to my first manager. In 2001 I hooked up with Producer Gordon Gowdie. In that year I sung backing vocals on the Simple Minds album “Neon Lights”. I also went on to sing vocals on “Why Do You Keep On Running Boy” the anti smoking song funded by the Scottish Health Board which reached number 10 in the Scottish charts. From these early experiences it became clear to me that my life would be forever influenced by music.

Growing up my musical influences where varied, ranging from Prince, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Boys 2 Men and Barry White to N.W.A, Lil Kim, T.L.C, DMX and Jodeci. Today I am inspired by artist’s including John Mayer, Amos Lee, Alicia Keys, Will.i.am, Sara Bareilles, Chris Brown, Fergie and Kanye West. I also have a lot of love for the British music scene in particular the tremendous female talent of Amy Winehouse, Duffy, Leona Lewis, Adele and Natasha Bedingfield.

When I'm not listening to music which is most of the time, I enjoy watching Movies, Boxing and Hip Hop dancing. My favourite films include "Goodfellas", "Loving Annabelle", "Million dollar baby, and "Walk The Line". My motto in life - (Always cross on the green, never in between) (Never eat yellow snow)...just suck the juce right out of it.lol..I'M PLAYIN'.

I’m generally quite a laid back person until u get me in the studio where I’m very focused on my job and always put in 110%…everything needs to be on the money 4 me otherwise what’s the point…if your not gonna do it right, then don’t do it at all…. I don’t have the time 4 time wasting .lol….

My pet hates are – Animal Cruelty, I just don’t understand how some people could hurt an animal…I’ve got a little puppy Yorkshire Terrier he’s only 7months old and if I ever thought for a second that anyone was even thinking about hurting him I would kick some ass.lol.i’m not playin’. I also hate people who drive up your ass and drivers that cut u off and run red lights…there’s rules for a reason tosser!lol..People who grocery shop at 2mile an hour - I just wanna go in and get my food and back out as soon as possible. People that stand on my white trainers...Just dont do it. Singers that mime…and call themselves singers. People that talk shit – promise you the world and it never happens. When u jump in the shower then realise there’s no soap or towel. When u get to the studio and your told the session is running late because the producer or engineer has over slept…Aaaaaah!. People that grab my hat off my head...I hate it...then they end up with big dirty finger marks on em. People that think they know what’s best for you..when there’s no one that knows what’s best for you than you. People that talk behind ur back - Say it to my face...i'm a big girl, i can take it - And if u can't say it to my face then dont say it at all. People that can't see past themself.

Bad Habbets – Biting my nails. Brushing my teeth in the shower.lol. Drinking to much tea…it’s hard not to when your sitting around a studio all day. Sometimes talking with my mouth full..only sometimes though never in company I must stress.hehe. I never replace the loo roll when it’s dun.lol. letting my dog give me wee kisses for a treat….lol….i always get told that’s disgusting he could have licked anything but I DON’T CARE he’s my wee boy and he loves his mummy.

Likes - Singing, Boxing, Meeting new people, Dancing, Writing, Art, Tennis, Road trips with my girl, Eating Out, Watchin' Movies, Swiming but only in the pool i dont do the sea cos theres things in there....although id love to surf, Playing Guitar, Moterbikes, Food, Walking my Gay dog Cooper.lol, Makin' Music, Watching the sun set from the beach, Traveling, Candles, I love getting tickled.lol, Spending money, Holding Hands, Birds Of Paradise Flowers, Decorating..I get board with the same colours and layout of my house real quick, Looking out at the snow when ur in a nice warm cozy house, Collecting hat's - 138 and counting, Sunglasses, Tacking a nice long bubble bath, Performing, Jumpin' about mad, Rapping, Sitn' in the sun with someone special tanning myself as long as theres no flowers or grass around me to attract the wasps and beez, killing my drums - it gets my anger out.lol, Ghost stories, Shopping, Surfin the net - when i get the time, Making money.lol.Walking in the rain, Animals, Playing Piano, Relaxing, Seeing a good gig, Clothes, Im quite a tidy freak.lol.i like things clean and even, (working out)lol..only cos it sounds good and i'v always wanted to write that...the only working out i do is boxing so it's a start, Cooking is great it's nice n relaxing, Dinner party's, Love going to a great club and dancing all night, Texting, Nice cars, Playing playstation, The Colour Yellow, Taking pictures, Spending time with my family.
