A native New Yorker, Kaiulani made the move out to Los Angeles with the fierce hope and determination of any true performer. Upon arrival, she signed with theatrical management and began her first auditions for Film, TV and was flown back to New York to audition for a series of Broadway shows. During this time, Kaiulani also began touring the L.A. singer / songwriter venues with piano / keyboard in tow.
Amidst the live performing and auditions, Kaiulani received an outpouring of support from fans and friends to record an album... a dream she had been working towards for sometime. Not sure where to begin, she jumped right in and began to record an 11 track album of original tunes, produced by her and 2 friends in an honest attempt of capturing the transformative life experiences she had so far lived through. An all around true performer, think of Kaiulani as a triple threat reminiscent to old Hollywood, (Gene Kelly, Shirley Temple) with melodies reminiscent to Coldplay and U2 and unusual and advanced rhythmic patterns highlighted by an affinity for turn tables and beat box vocals inspired by the latest and best hip hop records (think Outkast and Lupe Fiasco.)
A singer/songwriter with an incredible history of dance, musical and dramatic theatrical training, Kaiulani brings an unusual and authentic reality of something new to the music / creative world.
