ARON'S TALE : moved away from the fallen empire in the early 80's to the end of the line, california.
he was 6 years old. lived in the south takes what the north delivers for a short time then moved to endor (eureka) for 10 years. started making music and recording it when he was about 13. was playing with and recording local bands by the ripe old age of 15. when he could afford to get the hell out of dodge he moved to southern california.
started doing some roadie type shit for friends. spent a few crazy weekends in san diego digging on the hardcore scene (clickitat ikatowi, heroin). eventually moved to san francisco around 21. did some more roadie work then got involved with yoshi nakamoto (aisler set, still flyin...), brooks bonstin (rapture) and jules konig. they lasted about 2 and half years and we're lucky enough to get 2 7's out and one 12" ep (released on suicide squeeze). toured up and down the coast then did an ambitious tour of the rest of the states. a few months later everyone realised they were all getting into different things and threw in the towel to pursue separate musical endeavors.
a little over a year ago the scenic vermont was included on
this compilation! thanks David. ;)
aron spent more time getting into making beats and collecting samples and eventually left the "yay area" to move to the uk. since then he's helped his friends safetyword record "foreskin of the heart", dj'd around bristol, worked with Mr.Benn and occasionally lay a soundtrack or 3 for long time friend Adam Laity .
since last summer aron has been working with Mirte, Tom and Phil to help translate whatever wack musical ideas into a reality. they've been cool enough to help me out translating older songs into a fresh live sound. recent efforts in the practice space have been more collaborative and that is totally where it's at!
