The Avenues

...say this ain't ever been the way

About Me

The Avenues were accidently born in late 2005 when Dan Woodward called on Andrew Skelton to add keyboards to a studio side project - those recordings rapidly saw 'The Avenues' become a band in their own right, with Dan recruiting talented local multi-instrumentalist David Dalby and drummer Dan Appleby to supplement the existing studio lineup of Dan and Andrew Skelton, who had been recruited to add keyboards and string arrangements to Dan’s original solo recordings (now available for free download at www.danwoodward.co.uk ).

Active from 2006 until early 2007, the band supported the likes of The Strange Death of Liberal England and Jamie T before the loss of drummer Dan Appleby led to the band going on hiatus, but 2008 sees them regrouping and recruiting, ready to gently lilt your socks off once again. real editor best profile tools
