It takes courage to grow up and turn out to be who you really are

About Me

I am an artist and an educator. I make stuff. I teach people how to make stuff. Simple as that. MyGen Profile Generator

My Interests

art, music, creativity in various forms. My dear friend Amelia has created artwork to raise awareness for Artists For Autism and funds for the Inscape school for children with language and communication difficulties... an excellent and worthy cause. Please check it out and support her cause:

I'd like to meet:

My friends list has been growing beyond what seems managable... with interesting artists and creative types. I discovered years ago that networking and community-building on any level is important for artists who too often work in seclusion. Myspace is a pretty good way to bring creative minds together. I'm pleased with the integrity and quality of so many of the creative people I've met here. My friends list is an unusual mix of current & former students (artkids, I call 'em), artist friends, creative and otherwise quality people.

Music:

ecclectic. Here's a video that was done by a friend of a friend (my friend, Heidi's friend, John). Cool vid! Let there be DRUMS... ...and more drums: "Post Modern" rock?

Movies:

sometimes.

Television:

yeah.

Books:

I'm reading "The Assault on Reason" by Al Gore and "The World Without Us" by Alan Weisman.

Heroes:

my dad, Claude Dube (both parents, actually) my family & friends... Josh Nadel (my former teacher & friend) as well as other people and artists I've been influenced by. Peter Voulkos:
