HEIST - THE OTHER LEFT (studio preview)
Biography
Started playing bass in '98, by force of his brother Mats who was a drummer.
Playing metal at first it later grew out to funky bass riffs when Axel met Thijs van der Klugt in '99
In 2004 Axel joined the Conservatory of Amsterdam to study pop music.
Today Axel plays rock and hiphop in several bands and makes his own compositions at his tiny home studio in Haarlem, just for fun.
Heist
Heist is a new band from Haarlem, stoner and rock, a little Queens of the Stone Age, Open Hand and Foo Fighters.
People from well known bands in and around the Haarlem area. Cereal, Freeloader and Pajotini/Tube members joined forces early in 2006 to make kick ass music.

Coco
I met Coco on the Amsterdam School of Popular Music , ASOPM for short, or just the pop department of the Conservatory of Amsterdam
Playing together in the rockband Unreleased for about a year, it fell apart due to conflicts. Coco went on with her own songs and asked me to join her solo project. Again, awesome singer, sweet voice with a nice rough edge to it!
Wudstik
I met Wudstik on the Amsterdam School of Popular Music .
a rapper, member of the dutch hiphop group D.A.C.
After talking to him a lot about doing a hiphop project he asked me to join his solo project Wudstik for his upcomming album titled "Mijn Wereld", the album was already done, he just needed a tight live band. His album "Mijn Wereld" was released in March of 2006, and recieved an Essent Award.
After leaving the group in 2006, i now regrouped with the band and continue rocking the stage with them. Wudstik's 2nd album "Niemandsland" is due late 2007 and will feature tracks played on by me and the rest of the band. Check Wudstik's MySpace for updates about his upcomming record and gigs.

I joined missAntarctica in February of 2006, after having played with them before in August 2005, opening for American band Dredg
