Thanks for coming.

About Me

I was born in 1956, in the East End of London (more or less), the son of stage, film and television actor, Ed Devereaux. My mother, Rene Devereaux, was a song writer and a variety act producer. My first television appearance was made in 1961, on the kid’s show 5 O’clock Club. I continued to spend my formative years, inevitably, influenced by my parent’s careers, constantly in and out of studios and around backstage areas. I spent the first phase of my own career (somewhat uncomfortably due to my secret frustration - to be more like my parents) in production and stage management.I left The National Theatre in 1985, where I had the privilege of working with some of the country’s finest directors, to concentrate on producing my own music. Initially, I worked with bands and vocal artists, and more recently, on scores for theatrical productions. Besides music, I have been writing dramatic adaptations of classic children’s stories and poetry. The novels will have to wait.Gigs have become a bit thin on the ground, and I am often asked when the next one will be. I am not lazy, but since the technology has become so accessible, I find that I am increasingly attracted to the creative environment of the studio. But fear not, the performance bug will return. Watch this space.
