Was'up to all the real hip hop headz out there. I had to send my lap top to HP to get the mother board replaced recently. Man I was living like the Flintstones but ya dawg is back! I have decided to release my new cd on 26thJuly08. I will supply some reasons. Anyone that knows me know that Oct has always been DDay. July is a very good month. 1st my seeds from CO, Ohio will be visiting then and they'll be able to attend my release party. Oops I let the cat out of the bag. Thats right I'm having another CD release party. Shoutz to all the headz that showed some love last year. Tim Clark you know you sick right? The party will be held on the release date. Straight out of control. Yeah its a Saturday. So we rock all night. Champagne will be flowing the food etc.
I'm doing the back stage thing with the tickets this year. It'll give it that air of authenticity. We'll be at HogWild Studios again. TGaz thanks for the love. He's also my engineer on the project. Anyone interested in attending give me a shout aight. Also my dude CON assured me he will show up with his 18 wheeler in tow. Good looking out fam. The turn out should be even bigger. I sent out some myspace invites last time but I'm not sure if I'm doing that again. I will be selling the cd for digtal down load again from right here. I'm also teaming up with some of the local music stores around my way to push the project. CD signings are defintely over the horizons. Shoutz to UofA of Fayetteville. Check out the track list. I will have a new music video up soon and more info to come. Po1.....Get at me and check back often aight.
Born in St.Louis, M.O. Growing up in the Peabody housing projects, He was forced to grow up rather quickly. His education presented itself on 5 different levels. The library, streets, public school, his parents and Robert E. Trice "rest in peace." It is most definitely in that order. Poet1 has been writing poetry since he was 10 years old. After discovering the library Poet1 realized he could attack his current state of being on 2 fronts. Writing and reading helped him mentally. They were outlets and at the same time doorways out of his mental and physical environment.
Robert E Trice (R.E.T) owner and founder of Ready Every Time Entertainment. R.E.T was a local concert promoter. He was that human influence that Poet1 needed in his life. He taught him that there is something more than the stereotypical black man. He also taught him the ins and outs of the concert, promotions and party business. Poet1 learned to spin records. Because of R.E.T, one of greatest moments of his life is when he met Ice-T and his turntable partner Evil E. While talking with them he learned by applying himself he can make it out of anything. Ice-T told him not to let go of his dreams. Embrace the hardship and learn from them. He has released 3 studio albums since 2004. Mental Images 04, Natural Progression 06 and Diary Of A MaddMann 07. He is currently prepping his 4th album, Protect the 16th Letter.
