Going to shows and concerts, bushwalking (love the Tasmanian wilderness),reading, music, playing on the internet, doing stuff with the family. Wouldn't mind taking up learning guitar (learnt piano for years in my long lost youth, but never had the true natural talent for it unfortunately). Would love to travel and finally get to the UK and Europe - I guess it is never too late for that to happen. Pity it takes so much cash to achieve it, especially flying from Australia. Gareth David-Lloyd, John Barrowman, Springsteen, Phil Collins, Annie Lennox - they would be my top five. So many interesting people in the world though, the list could be endless.
Heaps of performers that I love - Blue Gillespie, Springsteen, U2, Good Charlotte, Eskimo Joe, Pink, Crowded House, Rogue Traders, Phil Collins, Annie Lennox, The Eagles, and can't forget John Barrowman....the list goes on and on. I love all types of music and don't limit myself to just a few genres. One cannot forget the best Aust. performers, those of Classic Rock! Like AC/DC, Australian Crawl and The Angels - now they know how to do rock! I've seen most of my faves in concert (hate to think how much I've spent on concert tickets over the years).
Loved the Lord of the Rings series. Really like action, romantic comedy, and some drama, but always prefer something fairly light when I'm going out for the evening. Looking forward to the upcoming X-Files 2 movie. Also loved the Bourne series of films.
Like a lot of sci fi like Torchwood, new generation Who, Supernatural, Smallville, plus other stuff like All Saints, The Amazing Race, Survivor, Greys Anatomy...again another long list. Really loved previous programmes like Alias and the X-Files. Oh and mustn't forget stuff like Vicar of Dibley - love the English comedies....now they know how to do great comedy!
Currently reading a series of novels set in war time France - really interesting story about a family group. Have a pile of VC Andrews books to read. John Barrowman's biography is awaiting me also. (Edit - finally read it, refer to blog) Have just started Torchwood - The Twilight Streets....and of course I read stacks of online fanfic.
Hero is such a strong word - don't know if I really have one of those. *thinking, thinking* I guess there are a number of people I admire, but not sure if you would call them heroes. I think the quiet achievers are the ones we really ought to admire. You know, people who volunteer to help with charity organisations, or for overseas aid. I guess they are the real heroes of the world.
