Heroes:

When you meet someone you admire the excitement is usually short-lived. What was once fascinating becomes common place and ordinary. Not so with you Dan. Without you I wouldn't have anyone to pull me aside and say, "Look Christine, I know your societal observations are insightful and HILARIOUS, but your references are completely out-dated". (You did say that, didn't you?) If it weren't for you I'd still be using Chevy Chase and Steve Guttenburg in examples of poorly written family comedies, instead of *insert current actor's name here*.

More importantly though, a hero because your cynicism and dry wit is a constant source of laughter. Your analysis of the world has you filled with contempt (rightly so), yet you still show me nothing but sweetness. Your creative mind inspires me to use my imagination, rather than become another casualty of mind rotting television and local sports bars. I love you.
