Jubilant, the Sycophants cry out, "We are Masters at nothing!"
I see a world so full of pride in itself and thus, so full of shit, yet what reason does anyone have for that feeling? What's made each of them so important when each is simply one person out of six billion? What distinguishes that "individual?" Nothing. I have looked that person in the eye and have seen nothing there at all. I see dead men and women walking and breathing in oblivion. I have seen a world so useless and weak, blindly devouring anything thrown their way like a plague of locust. I have seen disease in them. I have seen their stupidities. I have heard their pathetic cries. And I seek an extermination. Their empires are self-delusions, their words "pious" lies. I'd utter, "From dust to dust," but nearly everyone in this world has had nothing in between. I can only welcome the deaths of so many philistines.
Following a departure from other bands and "scenes" past, Eris was started by Non as a solo project in 2006 c.e. This is "True American Black Metal," the sole purpose of which is to express a dissatisfaction with and contempt for humanity.
There is no spirituality here. No god. No satan. No theocracy of any sort, whatsoever. There is only the shit world of a shit humanity and a hatred towards it. It is the vilest virus. There is no over-arching belief system in a world devoid of any inherent meaning. There is only nothingness. I have no use for impotent gods and castrated idols. No man is truly significant when the universe will go on without him uncaring, nor should it be. Through Eris, one will find the innermost reaches of the Individual's irreverence and misanthropy towards those too unaware, too stupid to make this a species worth saving. It is in the most true vein and in no way to be associated with the fashionable yet faux sort. We are a scourge to all. This music reflects that.
May it serve to extinguish the abomination of light.
