There was never even discussion about any musical categories. The aim was simply to make good, unque, timeless, catchy, melodic songs and leave the definition for those who are interested in such of trivial things. Soon the drummer Luke and bassist Johnny joined the band and they started to work under the name Christian d’Or. In the spring of 1991 they released a single Voice of Ages/Iron Horse. In the summer of 1992 band changed their name to Sonic Rain and released a promotional, 12 song casette. ( Those were the golden days of pre- historic C-Casette -age ). In the beginning of 1994 Johnny leaved the band and Pexi joined in. By Pexi Sonic Rain gained another exellent songwriter. The band with three songwriters might sound like a real battlefield of egoes, but in fact Sonic Rain was always a rare example of a band-democraty that really worked. In the spring of 1996 Sonic Rain released their first CD: “Amazing Growings†(video 1.) which can be seen as a sort theme album or simply just a collection of 12 songs, guite different from each other. In the june of 1997 the band started to record their second album and played a gig that turned out to be the last one of their actual career (videos 2-4) . During the year of 1998 band’s activity slowly faded and the second album, under the title of “Birds of a Weather†(Video 5.) was left unreleased. In the spring of 2004 the band played a single one/off gig to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their final lineup. (Video 6.)VOICE OF AGES (Promo video)
