I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Well....I'm kind of a shy person, which is ironic considering I really like to do community theatre. I'm a percussionist, so I can make some noise when I want to. But, I also like the quiet moments: watching a sunset, walking through the woods, reading a book under a tree. I love hearing the wood crack in the fireplace...and I enjoy a glass of wine from time to time. All in all, I really want to make the most out of life. As Abraham Lincoln once said, "And in the end, it's the not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years!"

My Interests

Theatre, wine, theatre, writing, theatre, music...did I mention theatre???

I'd like to meet:

People who are interested in theatre, enjoy life, love to laugh, and aren't afraid to dance.

Music:

The world would be incredibly silent without music. I love listening to movie soundtracks (mainly instrumental), showtunes, classical, rock....basically anything. I'm not a huge fan of country or rap, but I respect their effort.

Movies:

Movies are awesome! Some of my favorites include: Brokeback Mountain, Heart Burn, Sound of Music, Shopgirl, In America, Waiting for Guffman, Pride and Prejudice, Everything is Illuminated, Adaptation, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Running with Scissors, Stranger Than Fiction, Woody Allen films, anything with Kenneth Branagh, Mary-Louise Parker, Meryl Streep, Emma Thompson, Vanessa Redgrave, Diane Keaton, Richard Gere, or Angelina Jolie!

Television:

Desperate Housewives, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List, Will & Grace, Ellen, Project Runway

Books:

Love to read plays (old and new), especially those that like to shake things up. Lately I've been reading a lot of nonfiction, especially those regarding 9/11 and the Dirty Wars in Latin America. However, I tend to read whatever I can get my hands on. Lately, I've been reading a lot of books on math.

Heroes:

Ellen Degeneres, Dalai Lama, Matthew Shepard, Anne Nelson, and the men and women who gave all on 9/11.
