Vangar is a Brazilian/Argentinean metal band (bassist=half Argentinean & half African American). They fuse genres of many types in to their music, such as metal, rap, death metal, thrash, progressive and probably more. The band begun in 2005 when Jin (lead guitar), Hyun (drums) and Daniel (bass) decided to start a band in their basement. They were just playing around and weren't taking the music too seriously. Sam (rhythm guitar) later joined them. After a couple of months, Jin, Hyun and Sam (all brothers) had to move to another town. It was then that they decided to really take the band seriously and write some material. They begun covering some songs at around the same time that they begun taking lessons. Jin, Hyun and Sam were basically learning how to play their instruments, while Daniel who had been playing bass for 7 years jammed with them. After covering classics from Nirvana and Metallica, they decided to write their own stuff. With cheap ass $150 drums and $99 guitars, they jammed every weekend and wrote songs. About 1 and a half years later, they met up with musician/sound engineer Diego Rivera who helped them record for the first time the songs that they came up with and make a myspace to publish their music.
We're just a couple of teenagers trying to make music. Please, dont be hold back by the sound quality of our songs, and be open-minded.
