Founded in the late 90's by Peter Persson and Niklas Dewerud. They wanted mixture of raw brutality and technical skills, to follow in the footsteps of bands such as Suffocation and Monstrosity. With Calle on bass, Dennis on vocals and Marcus joining in as lead guitarist they had found the right mixture to play their extreme metal.
Their first demo "Internal decomposition" was recorded at studio Moonshine fall 2000 and received only good reviews. Chris at Retribute Records picked up on this and signed the band to release a full-length album. The album was called Remnants of Deprivation and was recorded during three weeks of Nov-Dec 2001 in Pama Studio in Kristianopel and Salt Island studio in Karlskrona and was released in March 2002. Shortly after the CD was recorded Niklas unfortunately had to depart from the band. He didn't feel that he had the time and commitment needed to continue as the drummer of V.B and wanted to dedicate his time and full attention to being the bass-player in Spawn of Possession.
Tobias "Rotten Boy" Persson joined in as the new drummer shortly after Niklas' departure. After trying out for a while V.B decided to take him in as a permanent member and with that making Visceral Bleeding a complete band again. Remnants of Deprivation received raving critics globally. Because of the fact that Marcus had to study overseas only a few gigs were played. Therefor the rest of the band concentrated on writing the follow up named "Transcend into Ferocity". Recorded, mixed and mastered by Visceral Bleeding and Robban in studio Flat-pig - Malmö/Sweden during 3 weeks of Dec-Jan. This one was released through Neurotic Records in May 2004. Neurotic Records also re-released Remanants of Deprivation in a digi-pack loaded with goodies in early 2005.
The band has now performed in most countries in Europe. They've done several succesful tours so far, among the headlining bands they've toured with are Deicide (twice), Obituary, Skinless and Cryptopsy. They've also played together with bands such as Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Suffocation and Nile among many.
Their third album, Absorbing the Disarray, came out in May of 2007 and has been getting rave reviews all over the world. Right now the band is busy writing material for a forth album.
