The Band
The Heather Pipes & Drums of Copenhagen consists of two bands, own instructors and a board of directors for administrative purposes.
The band is a non-profit organisation and all revenues are used on the members of the band (e.g. instruments, competition fees, travel costs etc.). One of the main goals of the band is to continually improve the musical level, in solo as well as band-competitions. Many of our members are well-renowned solo players, and the muscial leaders wellknown and respected throughout the world.
The Grade 2 band is the highest graded band in Denmark, and has throughout history achieved great results both on the scandinavian and international pipe band scener. In the last 30 years the grade 2 band has won the title as Scandinavian Champions 26 times.
The band performs at all sorts of actvities/events it being weddings, town festivals, funerals, soccer games etc. The band has also performed for the royal family a couple of times.
