After school, working in urban radio, record labels (Polygram National promotions manager, Festival records promo, Shock Records G.M, radio & TV voiceovers, music television presenter (temp), then eventually implementing a government funded music programme (NZ On Air) raising the share of NZ music on NZ radio, this was (and is still) very succesful, now with a staff of many.For the past 8 years, based in Brooklyn, she has rapidly risen through the DJ ranks to be scooping some of the best engagements on the East coast and beyond. And premier events like the Mercedes launch with ERYKAH BADU at Shea Stadium, she has played alongside DJ RED ALERT, DJ PREMIER, LORD FINESSE, the legendary ROC RAIDA (Xecutioners), BOOGIE BLIND (X-Factor), JU JU & LES (THE BEATNUTS), and RIHANNA, the"Sanctuary For Families" charity event (standing in for GRANDMASTER FLASH), The annual Food and Wine Magazine awards, Town & Country Magazine Awards Arizona, the Ford Model Agency xmas parties '04,'05. Appearances in 2 D.J documentaries, "Mixtress X" and "I Live For This.." a doco for Korean MTV of NY's hottest D.J's. Her style is international and in 2007 she landed a spot with Cancer of Stone Love, in Kingston, Jamaica. Currently she has residencies with the W Hotels in NYC and The Stone Rose NYC.Few DJs can be fresh as well as know the classics but that is everyday biz for Nicole who can come correct with the choicest cuts, and blends.
