The New Orleans Partying Network was established to shine light on things going on around the city and assist in rebuilding the nightlife scene to new and more grandiose heights by sponsoring, promoting, and producing unique events.
Partying is the one thing we do better than anyone else in the world, and it will always be our bread and butter here in New Orleans.
Mardi Gras, JazzFest, Voodoo, Essence, the Sugar Bowl, the Bayou Classic, the French Quarter Fest, the Satchmo Fest, and all the little events and conventions all year round bring millions of tourists here every year, and billions of dollars to the local economy.
When there are major events such as the BCS game or the NBA All Star game going on, the entire city prospers. Our goal as a city should be to get more events like these, as well as creating more unique events. This starts locally. It starts by locals supporting local business, local musicians, and local events.
Our tourism industry was decimated by Hurricane Katrina. It is up to us to rebuild it by doing what we do best. Partying. We have done a spectacular job so far, and word has spread. Let's keep it up.
