Schmetterling!!

About Me

From the top, with feeling. I'm one of those girls, you know the ones I mean. I'll tell you all kinds of things, but I have some fine secrets to keep. I enjoy listening to The Organ on the Seabus. Steven Smith is to die for. I feel naked without my headphones, and not in a good way.
I'm writing a stalled novel, and I'm always on the lookout for inspiration to knock me out of my writing rut. I love to travel. Places make me restless, nostalgic, and occasionally overcome. People make me loyal. Memories last a long time with me, and they are vivid like photographs and often sting like seawater.
If there was a 'queer' box to check on here I would have checked it. 'Bi' is a poor and inaccurate moniker, and 'lesbian' sounds too much like 'thespian,' and I'm done acting.
I'm tired of adding bands and would like very much to add people.
For the first time in my life I have two great jobs and my own apartment, complete with white paint, slanted ceilings, and no roommates. It's a place I can eat crackers over the sink and buy chocolate milk if I damn well please. Maya makes it feel like home. She is black and white and fuzzy - eight pounds of pure kitten craziness.
Don't be fooled by my cerebral exterior. I stir and melt often. Passion is important. I still believe in that butterfly wings dusted kind of love. I like people who are real.
I would love someone to make blueberry pancakes with.
And I'm quite sure that magnolia trees in April are close to heaven.

distance makes the heart....

I guess the correct fill-in-the-blanks response should be "grow fonder." And it is true. So very very true. I feel such fondness for this lovely, funny, sexy as all hell little tornado of a girl. And ...

walking home on a Saturday night....

I have decided that there's nothing quite as wonderful as walking home from Club 23 at 2:00 am on a Saturday night. It is a rare evening that I don't see at least 2-4 people puking, at least 5-6 broke...

I may be allergic to boys

But maybe that's just because so few of them can formulate a decent opening or write a coherent sentence. Le sigh.

life is one big messy paradox

I'm starting to notice that life is chock-full of paradoxes. Some are genuinely hypocritical, and others merely strange. A few I've started to notice: 1) Why do all the odious, creepy guys who can't...

fuck is my favourite word in the English language

This Saturday night is dull as dull, and I'm writing in this delightful little cube instead of doing something mind-blowing, or fun, or just plain productive. My brother has gone to play poker, and m...
